Productive Fundraising with Chad Barger, CFRE

Join fundraising master trainer, Chad Barger, CFRE, for a workshop focused on equipping and motivating your board members to be great fundraisers. You’ll learn how to help them get over their fear of fundraising and develop the fundraising habit. Accountability and follow through will also be discussed. The session includes tools and samples that you can use to start building a fundraising culture within your board. The included exercises are designed to better define board responsibilities, help them talk about the organization in the community, identify fundraising tasks that they are comfortable with, clarify the board-executive director relationship and help them to facilitate more effective committee meetings. Session participants will receive worksheets and samples to aid in implementing the exercises.

This workshop also includes a facilitated workshop that engages and connects attendees while providing peer-supported advice on their most pressing problems. Each participant is given the opportunity to present a fundraising problem or challenge to a small group of peers and receive advice and support. At the end of the session, the most difficult challenges are presented to the entire room for insight. Session attendees learn from each other while receiving peer support and forming valuable new relationships. This session is best utilized during the final break out slot of a fundraising conference.
